You can never have too many pairs of ballet pumps in my opinion - they're both comfortable and cute! My latest faves are these cream leather and metal capped toes from Topshop, €38...

My favourite outfit of this week goes to the ever so stylish Fearne Cotton, who is seriously smokin in this 80s red silk jumpsuit. While I'm not a fan of tatoos I love how the colours on her foot are set off against the eye popping red. Simple but effective look, unfortunately jumpsuits do nothing for me so I'll have to make do with admiring this trend from afar!

Dresses have been my number one choice of outfit for several years now - they are easy to throw on for work and/or a night out and they happen to compliment my body shape perfectly - dresses are a no brainer for me. I have so many dresses on rotation in my wardrobe but a particular favourite are floral tea dresses - inspiring me initially was this old Kate Moss pic above, I think it's 2007. I always remember that dress on her. While I love the femininity and prettiness of florals, I hate to be too 'girly' and so will ALWAYS wear them with my beloved black tights, boyfriend blazers, over sized cardiagans or some studded leather belts/boots to toughen up the look a bit.

Of course Carrie Bradshaw herself can be credited with the return of the floral frenzy that has ensued over the last number of years, most notably her rose printed 50s style frocks and amazing corsages. Looking forward to seeing if she continues to be a fan of the flower in SATC 2 this summer..

Florals appear to be even bigger for s/s 2010 and I was delighted to find an amazing collection of cheap, easy-to-wear tea dresses in A-Wear today - I got the above one for €40 as well as snapping up three others!

It's fair to say that my 'can't live without it' item is black opaque tights..somewhere along the way I have become addicted to the sleekness of high denier ink-black tights and the easy chicness they add to any outfit..forget jeans, trousers and the effort of bare legs, tights are here to stay, in my wardrobe at least!

I've dabbled in navy, electric neon colours and patterned tights but I always sneak back to black. I like Penneys, Oasis and topshop but my favourite are Falke 70denier (they seem waay darker though) available at Brown Thomas for 19euro. Expensive but worth it, especially as I pretty much wear black tights about 5 out of 7 days a week!

I'm stuck in a 'tight' fashion rut but I like it.

...and just as a little treat for myself, a recent shot of the sartorial genius herself, Miss Olivia, pictured here championing the sharp white look that is (white)-hot for S/S 10..

I have my eye on this Michael Kors watch now a while..the battery in my last watch died a death many months ago and in between checking the time on my phone and wearing a broken over sized man's watch just because I love it, I had yet to disover a timepiece worth getting excited over. Until now! The funds are being calculated and saved for the near future..swoon..

P.S posted my last two Herald articles on the links on the side, think I prefer it that way now instead..

I've developed an obsession with braided hair, but have been unsuccessful to date in getting the look I aspire to, a la Sienna pictured here! With my clumsy hands I'm going to have to leave it to my hair dresser next time I have a fancy do' to go to!

Loose, unstructured plaits appeared all over the catwalks for s/s 10 as well and are much more achievable. I really love this milkmaid look though and I'm dying to have a go at it, it was popular particularly at Oscar de la Renta as pictured here..

In work during the week I got to have a chat to top stylist Jake Davis from the John Frieda salon in London who informed me that unstructured bobs, soft natural blow dries and huge sweeping fringes will be hot this season, while blonde remains a favourite for spring looks!
